SPECIALIZED STRENGTH EXERCISES FOR RUNNING & CUTTING

DESCRIPTION

Real Boise Head coaches will schedule a series of sessions (and assesment follow-ups) with club's Speed/Agility coach Tom Glick. This is for players/teams who want to review, or learn for the first time, the club's 20 exercise program to improve running form, speed and agility.

This is a technical strength program and therefore the exercises that the players will do are not intended to develop strength and muscle mass as typically thought of in a strength training program. They are developing strength to better execute the skills involved in the sport. It is skill-related strength, i.e., strength coupled with technique. Also, elastic tubing will be used and this is much safer for youngsters than using dumbbells and barbells. It is extremely difficult to overexert oneself with rubber tubing.

WHERE
: Team Training Location

WHEN
: Starts any time after Feb 14th.

STAFF
: RBCF Speed/Agility Coaches Juanjo Carmona/Tom Glick.
WHAT TO BRING: Bring elastic tubing. A program booklet will be given to all participants.

CLUB OVERVIEW

REAL BOISE STORE

This is the official website for the Real Boise soccer club (a.k.a. Real Boise CF). The club is located in Boise, Idaho and one of our main practice fields is located at Joplin Elementary (12081 W De Meyer St, Boise). The first team of the club was established in 2002. Back then, they were a group of little U7 boys. Today it is our U15 Boys team playing in the Idaho District III U15 Division 1 (Number 6 in the nation in Indoor Soccer!). In addition, the club has teams competing in the Idaho Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) District III League: Youth Academy teams, U11 Girls, U12 Girls, U13 Girls, and U15/U16 Girls teams as well as a U13 boys team. Other teams are still being formed (click here for our ongoing tryouts). Our teams also participate in tournaments around the Treasure Valley and out of the Gem State.

U11 Girls

The Real Boise soccer club is committed to develop players and coaches globally in all the areas of the game.

Our club believes in giving the most meaningful  training environment to our players. In short, our  training philosophy is to emphasize creativity,  improvisation, technique, dynamic play, and  introduce to players the methodology to improve  flexibility, speed, and agility. Exposing committed  players to a professional training environment with this emphasis provides individuals with the opportunity of growth in the technical, tactical, physical and psychological components of soccer and also gives the team a sense of collective achievement.  Training Programs

There are three levels of training options in Real Boise for U11-U18 age brackets: Level A, Level B, and Level C, which are based on the number of weekly professional training sessions and the number of included camps. We also have a Youth Academy Program for ages U6-U10.

Level A is the most comprehensive program. During the regular Fall and Spring seasons, training is conducted by professional coach(es) who have a USSF "A", "B" or "C" national soccer license (or equivalent, or they are former professional players). A summer camp and one futsal camp are also included.

With the Level B program, a weekly training session is conducted by a staff coach who has a USSF ¨C¨ or National ¨D¨ soccer license (or equivalent). The team head coach must have a National "D" license or equivalent. One summer camp and one futsal camp are included for non High School age teams. One camp is included for teams playing club soccer in Spring only.

In our Level C program, a weekly training session is conducted by a staff coach who has a USSF "C" or National "D" license. The team head coach holds a State ¨D¨ License or a ¨E¨ License. One camp is included in the program for non High School teams.

To see a detailed comparison chart for these three levels see page 4 of this document.

All three programs include technical training on running and cutting coupled with a comprehensive strength program to improve speed and agility. Mental Component Training, Game Video-Analysis, Nutrition, Cross-Training, Futsal, Indoor soccer game coaching, street soccer, and watching pro soccer homework are also part of the programs.

Finally, a weekly Goal Keeping/Shooting session is included in all three programs and open to all club players irregardless of their desire to be a goal keeper in games or not.

Youth Academy Program (U6 - U10): Please visit our Youth Academy Program web page or contact Juanjo Carmona, Club director of coaching, for details. (208-713-8924) Programs are designed individually for these age groups.

The College Process

Real Boise has partnered with Step Ahead Idaho, a non-profit organization that helps students prepare for college. Choices students make in middle school and junior high impact their future opportunities (academically and sports-wise), so it is important to start planning early.

In the initial yearly meetings, general information on Planning for College is provided-- what students need to accomplish each year from middle school/junior high on. Subsequent sessions include details on the college application process, financial aid, scholarships, web resources, and college sports. See our "College Prep Page" for more details and seminar dates.

Real Boise is dedicated to helping our athletes reach their highest potential.

Scholarships are available based on economic need but also volunteering for different positions within the club and teams is a good way to earn important club fees discounts.

In closing, we consider that innovation and a multidisciplinary approach will give our players and coaches better understanding of this wonderful sport. Our higher level goal is to produce play that is not going to be unnoticed on game day. We want to produce spectacle. We want to play in a manner that creates a connection between players and spectators. That when the families leave the fields there is a sensation that something huge is always happening in the making of our teams.

WELCOME TO REAL BOISE !!!
