Camp Description

This is a camp emphasizing creativity, technique, dynamic play. Each day the camp starts with four segments (preparation module)
to get the player physically and mentally ready for the technical work and for the tactical concepts that follow (technical-tactical module).
Camp duration is 2.5 hours/day for 4 days.

Camp Structure

I. PREPARATION MODULE

1. Juggling

Juggling translates into a better first touch and it boosts confidence. With the juggling points learnt and practice during the camp,
players will be able to start improving and loving juggling the ball using different patterns. Different size and texture balls will be used.
From here, they can take it to the next level!

2. Flexibility: getting ready to run and cut

Players are taught proper stretching (active stretches), which will prepare them appropriately for training and playing the game.
They will understand why the commonly used static stretches do not get them ready to run/cut, and to play the game and
they will also understand why static stretches can actually lead to injuries.

3. Tricks and/or  Fast Foot Work

As with juggling, the successful execution of individual tricks with the ball will boost confidence. In addition, this will help creativity and
improvisation, two attacking principles often ignored. The Fast Foot work (actually fast LEG work) sequences presented will help
to develop flexibility in the main joints so crucial in the cutting actions.

·     A note on Vision

The juggling, the tricks and the fast foot work components will set the basis to enhance the player sport vision skill.
When soccer world star Zinedine Zidane receives and control the ball combining a variation of techniques in a single elegant movement,
pops the ball up over the head of an opponent, and finally delivers a lethal pass splitting two defenders, rest assured that the action started
with his vision. Along these lines, I emphasize to players the necessity for them to develop faster eye movement and eye-foot coordination
by executing these exercises at home and complement them with other activities like playing ping-pong.

4. Moves

Players will learn how to correctly execute feints, start-stop, and changes of direction moves.
To be a successful and exciting player and to have fun this is a must. You will get the confidence to beat opponents
left and right to create new space to penetrate and to create goal scoring opportunities for you and your teammates.

II. TECHNICAL-TACTICAL MODULE

Key technical and tactical topics will be covered on Day 1 through Day 4:

DAY 1: Emphasis on dribbling the ball and beating an opponent
DAY 2: The technique of individual defending, making decisions on 1v1 defending and how two defenders work together.
DAY 3: Passing and receiving, and the principle of support in attacking soccer
DAY 4: Finishing
