U13 Girls
Coach and Youth Academy
Licensure: To be
licensed
within the year
Playing Experience:
I began
playing soccer in Boise when I was five years old. I played for BNSC
and Alliance Soccer Club until we moved to Idaho Falls. In Idaho
Falls, I played Varsity soccer all four years for Idaho Falls High
School; taking second in the State Championship my junior year and
first place my senior year. I was invited to play in State Cup with
the U-19 Coeur d'Alene Sting team; which consisted of players from
Gonzaga and NIC. We won state that year as well. My indoor soccer
career started at the same time as my outdoor soccer career. Since
then I have played both indoor and outdoor soccer in very competitive
leagues in Utah and Idaho. I played intramurals at BYU winning the
intramural championship which is no easy feat. If BYU had a men’s
collegiate soccer program I would have played for that team, but
because they didn’t I played intramurals and indoor soccer.
Club Coaching
Experience: I
coached a U12 girl’s club team in Utah for two years and brought
them from the worst team in their division to winning the
championship the next season.
Professional:
Graduating from
BYU/BSU with a degree in Neuroscience. Neuroscience is basically
psychology on steroids. I have just relocated to Boise.
Referee: USSF
Grade 9 Referee
Miscellaneous:
Soccer is not
the only sport I have played. I grew up playing baseball, basketball
and golf as well. I have always been involved with sports and the
mental rigors that competitive sports entail. I enjoy trying to
understand human behavior, hence my choice of Neuroscience as a
major. My studies in this field have helped me as I have competed in
competitive sports and it has qualified me to help the members of
RBCF.
Bob
Tikker

“E” License
Club
Coaching Experience: 9 years (18 seasons) with Meridian
PAL and
Real Boise Soccer Clubs.

Graduate from University of Idaho with a BS in
Mechanical Engineering. Owner of mechanical consulting firm –
Tikker Engineering.
Miscellaneous:
I am the father of two girls, Sara and Laura. I truly
enjoy coaching girl’s soccer. My goal is to develop confident
and
competitive team players who have a love and passion for the game.
Club
Mental Conditioning Director
My
name is Keaton Skyles, I was born and raised in the Boise area and
began working with Real Boise in the spring of 2010 with the assistance
of Paola Lamberti and Juanjo Carmona. While growing up I competed in
golf, swimming, basketball, baseball, and skiing, as well as soccer for
9 years. My last 2 years of soccer were with the Boise Capitols. I
attended Nampa High School where I lettered in varsity golf
(2002-2005), as well as varsity cross country (2002-2004), graduating
with honors in 2005.
During
my sophomore year in college I was a member of the BSU D-1 golf team
and recognized as a scholar athlete (2006-2007). Throughout this time I
worked with sports psychologists and physical trainers that supplied me
with valuable insight to the importance of mental conditioning. In my
experience I have come to understand how mental practice can improve
not only our athletic abilities but all aspects of life. When we
introduce these skills at a youth level the results are extraordinary.
I would have benefitted greatly from having more of these techniques at
a younger age and so I’m now inspired to work with other young
athletes in developing their mental abilities. In my opinion the most
important skill for athletes is learning to harness the power of their
mind and the physical aspects of the body will follow.
In
2010 I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boise
State University. During my time in school I worked consistently in
psychology and ceramic arts also gaining much knowledge and interest in
human biology, as well as nutrition. Next year I will be returning to
school to further my education.

Nezam
Mozafari
U14
Girls - Head Coach
Nezam
would remember very good the first day that he started playing
“Football” (soccer in US) when he found a flat
sun-faded
black and white plastic ball down the alley at age five. At that time
he did not know anything about the rules or actually how to play it; he
just got with his buddies and chased and kicked that poor ball around
the alley. They, unknowingly playing soccer, fell in love with the
game.
During
his teenage years he formed many neighborhood teams that were playing
against other neighborhoods’ teams on those dusty dried farm
fields. During those days, playing on grass was a privilege and he did
not earn it until he joined one of the Semi-pro clubs in town which was
supported by some of the merchants
When
he moved to US, he was amazed that why all these green fields were left
useless and no one was playing soccer on them. While in Texas he
encouraged his college friends to form a tournament and play soccer.
Everyone loved it and it became a weekend habit. He, even though did
not pursue getting coaching license (except E), started coaching back
when he was in California during early 80s. He has been coaching soccer
for twenty and something years. He has worked with all age groups and
genders.
In
Treasure valley, he has been with PAL many years and now with Idaho
Rush club and Real Boise. His style of coaching is to make the game fun
but disciplined. He believes that kids should not waste their time when
coming for practices.
Over
many years of coaching, the most important lesson that he has learned
is that “Never coach your own wife” it just
won’t
work!

Mental
Conditioning Coach Staff
I’m
the drama teacher at Lowell Scott, and a main element of being a good
actor, or singer, or any performer is learning to stay focused, and
in-the-moment. If a performer drops their focus and starts reacting to
the sights of the audience, they’ll often become paralyzed by
stage fright. As I learn and teach these mental activities in my drama
class, I see how these skills can cross over into athletics and into
further aspects of life. I’m now studying “mental
training in sports”, and I consider it a privilege to experiment
and hone my skills as a teacher with this club.
